This is the story of how our previous minister, Marcus Bull, got a new bike
.. and not just any bike ...
Racing IV D-Lord - The Story of Marcus's new bike
Early in 2005, Marcus responded to an advert in MCN asking for volunteers to take part in a 'Biking Make-over Show'. Knowing that his 20-year-old Honda CB750 was in need of some considerable work, he sent an e-mail to the listed address, along with a picture of the motorcycle.
The bike was shipped to California, and Marcus flew to Los Angeles at the beginning of June, hoping to be reunited with it. However, on day one, the bike was dropped 20 feet from a forklift truck and destroyed. For the rest of the week it was Marcus who received the make-over! L.A.County Choprods promised to rebuild the Honda and deliver it back to Marcus in the UK later in the summer.
Sunday 21st August was the date set for the return of the motorbike, and the pictures you see were taken that afternoon. The TV crew arrived after the morning service at Trinity, and the motorcycle was revealed first to those members of the congregation, along with many friends from the community, who were eager to see it. Marcus was the last to discover that the revealed bike was not his old Honda but a brand new, customised Ducatio Monster 620.
Where does "Racing IV D-Lord" come into all this?
Part of the customisation of "the Reverend's ride" was that graphic on the bike's chassis - see the first picture...

Here are some more pictures of the new arrival (if you hover the cursor over a picture, you can read a brief description)...
